Wilsonton Heights Park Dog Off-Leash Area is a 2.6-hectare off-leash zone in Wilsonton Heights, Toowoomba, with room to run and a small agility setup. It is not fenced, which shapes who it suits: well-trained dogs with honest recall get the most out of it.

The rules

Off-leash applies only in the designated area north of the park's central pathway. Keep the lead on while entering and leaving and anywhere near the fenced playground, the skate and bike track, or the community garden. Effective voice control is required at all times and Toowoomba Regional Council expects waste picked up immediately.

When to go

Sunday mornings and afternoons plus weekday lunchtimes draw the biggest crowds. Weekday evenings and early mornings are the calmer windows. Best for dogs with reliable recall who can handle an unfenced edge and passing foot traffic on the central path.
