The short version. Boxwood Court Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog park set inside a larger treed parkland in Warner, with a separate pen for small dogs. The shade and the small-dog area make it a comfortable pick for less confident dogs.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fence but must stay under effective voice control, and they should be leashed in the surrounding parkland near the playground and open areas. Enter through the double gates one at a time. Clean up after your dog with the bins provided and supervise at all times. Dogs should be registered with the City of Moreton Bay.

What is there. A fully fenced main area plus a separate small-dog pen, some basic agility equipment, a water fountain, and seating with a covered shelter and tree shade. Bag dispensers are usually stocked. The water fountain can occasionally be out of order, so carrying a backup bowl is sensible. The park is wheelchair accessible.

Getting there. The entrance is at 5 Boxwood Court, off the local suburban streets, with parking near the entrance. The nearest bus stops are on surrounding roads such as Samsonvale Road.

When to go. Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons give you the most space. Weekend mornings and weekday after-work hours are busiest. Stellarossa at Warner Marketplace, on Samsonvale Road, is a close dog-friendly coffee stop.
