Palm Grove Park

Palm Grove Park is a small council park on Oakland Drive in Tewantin, part of the Noosa Parklands estate. Dogs can come on lead, and that matters, because the similarly named Palm Grove Walk in Tewantin National Park is off limits to dogs.

What it is like

Expect mown grass, a small play area with a climbing fort and footpaths linking out to the surrounding streets. There is no set loop, so it works best as a quiet neighbourhood stroll.

Trees around the edge give partial shade. Bring water and bags, since bins and bowls are limited on site.

Lead rules

Keep dogs on lead in the park. Noosa Shire Council points free running to signed off-lead areas elsewhere in the neighbourhood, including Heritage Park on Griffith Avenue.

Max: Do not follow the signs into the national park rainforest walk with a dog. Rangers enforce the ban there.

For a longer outing, walk the Lake Doonella Foreshore Walk or give the dog a run at Heritage Park Tewantin.

Suits a short, quiet on-lead walk for locals and visitors staying in the estate.
