What visitors mention
Ducat Reserve's fenced dog park is the quieter of Shepparton's two enclosed off-leash areas, at 73 Paterson Road in a residential pocket north of the centre. It's a fully enclosed grassed run, handy if you want secure off-leash space without the weekend crowds of Princess Park.
The rules. Greater Shepparton City Council requires handlers to be 18 or over and inside the fence with the dog at all times. Leash up before entering and on exit, and carry the lead while inside. Dogs must be vaccinated and wear a collar with a current registration tag. Any aggression or mating behaviour means leaving straight away. Use the bins for waste, and no smoking, alcohol, or climbing on the fences.
What's there. A fully fenced grass area for off-leash running, drinking water for dogs, and open green space. It's a simpler setup than Princess Park, so bring what you need.
Getting there. On Paterson Road, reached easily from Archer Street or Poplar Avenue, with street parking along Paterson Road. It's about a five-minute drive from the CBD; not on a direct bus route, so driving is simplest.

When to go. Weekday mornings and mid-afternoons are usually quiet; evenings and weekend mornings bring the local regulars. Bring your own water bowl in case the fountain is dry, and pick the cooler hours in summer.
