Terminus Hotel

The Terminus Hotel, the Termi to everyone in Shepparton, is a freshly renovated pub on High Street with a beer garden that has become one of the town's go-to dog-friendly spots. Open from 11am daily, running later on Friday and Saturday nights.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the spacious outdoor beer garden, kept on lead and settled while you eat. Indoor areas, including the bistro and public bar, are off limits to dogs under standard Victorian food rules, so this is an outdoor-table outing rather than a wander-through.

The garden is a big, refurbished space that hosts live music, DJs and sports screenings, so pick a quieter session if your dog is unsure about crowds. Bring your own water bowl to be safe; staff are easygoing with dogs but the venue does not advertise dog amenities.

The vibe

This is a proper local bistro pub rather than a bare bones drink stop. The menu leans classic pub done well: the chicken parma and butter chicken come up again and again, along with calamari and arancini balls, generous serves and gluten-free options. Renovated decor and a lively crowd make it an easy sit-down dinner after a day out with the dog.

Getting there and parking

It sits at 212 to 226 High Street, close to the Shepparton CBD, with a large free car park on site, so parking is one less thing to think about even at busy dinner times.
