Orana Park Dog Fenced Dog Park

Orana Park's fenced dog park on Orana Avenue in Seven Hills is a fully enclosed, double-gated off-leash area inside a larger Blacktown City Council reserve, with parking right beside the gate. For a suburb short on secure runs, this is the local one, and it works hard as a social hub for the neighbourhood's dogs.

The dog setup

Inside the fence it is flat grassed ground with a water station for dogs and shaded seating for owners. Off-leash applies only within the enclosure, so dogs stay on lead everywhere else in the reserve. The Blacktown City Council rules also bar declared dangerous or restricted breed dogs from the off-leash area.

The double-gate entry includes a holding pen, which matters if your dog rushes gates. Bring your own waste bags, since the on-site dispensers are not reliably stocked. The wider reserve adds public toilets, picnic shelters and electric barbecues if you want to stretch the visit.

Worth knowing

Late afternoons between 4pm and 6pm and weekends are the busiest windows, when the run doubles as a meet-up for local dogs. Weekday mid-mornings are much quieter if your dog needs space to settle. The reserve also carries a children's playground, so keep recall sharp around families passing through.

Max: use the holding pen between the two gates rather than waving your dog straight through. It kills the bolt risk when someone else arrives mid-session.

Getting there and parking

Free off-street parking sits immediately beside the dog park on Orana Avenue, with access points off Hayes Road and Wall Park Avenue. Smooth concrete paths link the street frontages, and buses cover the suburb if you are coming from Seven Hills station without a car.

Close by with the dogs

Both Cab's Cafe and Tishy and Co are a short drive away and welcome dogs at the outdoor tables, a tidy end to a morning session. For a lead-on stretch, the Seven Hills Bushland Reserve trail starts nearby.
