Cab's Cafe

Cab's Cafe works out of 2 Stanton Road, Seven Hills, a no-fuss weekday local open from 6am (1pm close on Wednesdays, 2pm the rest of the week) and closed on weekends. It runs on Toby's Estate beans and covers toasties, smash burgers and breakfast burritos rather than a long sit-down brunch menu, which suits a coffee-and-go routine with the dog in tow.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating, and staff have a reputation for being warm with pets at the tables. Keep your dog leashed and settled beside your chair. Water bowls are not a guaranteed fixture, so a portable bowl is the safe bet. The vibe is neighbourhood takeaway rather than destination dining, which makes for easy in-and-out visits.

Worth knowing

The egg toasties are the draw, with the beef bulgogi version the standout, bringing Korean-style flavour to a breakfast format. Tower burgers and loaded options handle bigger appetites. Early mornings are the busiest window given the 6am opens and the commuter trade; mid-morning weekday visits are the easiest for parking and a calm dog. Weekends are off the table entirely.

Street parking runs along Stanton Road and the surrounding streets. Seven Hills Station and the Plaza shopping strip are a short walk, so the cafe slots neatly into an errand loop or a train-side stop.

Close by with the dogs
