The short version. Lawson Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog area on Leon Avenue in Rosebud, sitting inside a larger community park with a playground, community garden and BBQ area. Getting there. Access is off Leon Avenue with parking directly at the park. It's a moderate walk in from Point Nepean Road, and Rosebud bus routes run nearby if you're not driving.

Nearby with the dogs. The Rosebud foreshore and its seasonal off-leash beach are a short drive away, and there are dog-welcoming cafes with outdoor seating along Point Nepean Road for after the run.

When to go. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the calmest. Weekends and the late-afternoon window get busy, though the enclosure is big enough to absorb a crowd. Good for dogs that need a secure space to stretch out.
