Reedy Creek Fenced Dog Park

Reedy Creek Fenced Dog Park sits inside Tourmaline Reserve on Barden Ridge Road, and its big fully enclosed run has made it one of the purpose-built dog parks on the southern Gold Coast. The double-gated entry and sheer size of the space are the reasons owners come from Reedy Creek, Robina and the surrounding suburbs.

The dog setup

Entry is through double gates, so dogs stay leashed until you are both inside the fenced area. The run is a large open grassland with agility equipment, shade trees, covered seating, water points and waste stations, though carrying spare bags is worth the habit in case the dispensers run low.

Because the space is one big shared run rather than divided enclosures, small or timid dogs mix with the big runners, so keep an eye on the play rather than assuming a size-split fence. Dogs stay under effective voice control, an adult handler supervises at all times, and dogs are not permitted at the children's playground on the other side of the reserve.

The vibe

The crowd is a mix of locals and regulars who know each other's dogs by name, with sensible owner behaviour part of the park's reputation. Mornings and late afternoons draw the most dogs; midday is the quiet window, though the shade and water make even warmer visits workable.

Getting there and parking

The reserve is just off the M1 at the Reedy Creek exit, via Old Coach Road onto Barden Ridge Road, with on-site parking by the gate and wheelchair-accessible paths from the car park to both the dog run and the playground.

Make a day of it

The wider reserve adds free electric barbecues, picnic shelters and a playground, so it handles a family morning as easily as a dog run.
