Kudo Bros Espresso Bar & Kitchen

Kudo Bros Espresso Bar & Kitchen is a modern Japanese-leaning cafe on Energy Circuit in Robina, doing espresso, quality matcha and a Japanese-inflected breakfast and lunch menu. It is genuinely dog-friendly rather than dog-tolerant: dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and the staff have a track record of spoiling them a little.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor seating, which is well shaded and roomy enough to settle a dog beside the table. The cafe is known for looking after pups, sometimes with a puppuccino or a dog biscuit, but pack your own water bowl so your dog can drink straight away rather than waiting on staff. Keep your dog on lead and settled while the katsu sandos circulate.

Worth knowing

The menu steps well beyond the standard cafe line-up: katsu sando, fluffy pancakes, karaage chicken, onigiri and salmon bowls, with acai bowls for the health side. Matcha and hojicha lattes sit alongside the espresso, and the mochi covers the sweet tooth. Note the Monday closure: the cafe runs 7am to 2:30pm Tuesday through Sunday only.

Pepsi: come mid morning on a weekday. The commercial pocket is quiet, the shaded tables are free, and your dog gets the staff's full attention.

Getting there and parking

Find it at 14/6 Energy Circuit, Robina, in the commercial pocket a short drive from Robina Town Centre. On-street parking on Energy Circuit and the surrounding streets keeps arriving with a dog simple, and the paved paths around the precinct suit an on-lead wander either side of the table.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run around the coffee, the Robina Common fenced dog park is a short drive away. For more cups, Coffee Note and The Lott Cafe are both in the Robina set, and Wild Cherry Coffee House is just south at Varsity Lakes.
