Macleod Park Fenced Dog Park on Ulladulla Drive is a fully fenced, 24-hour off-leash area in Prestons, with double-gated entry and floodlighting that makes it one of the few local options for a safe evening run after dark.
The rules. Dogs must stay on-leash until you are through both gates of the double-gated entry, and owners need to keep control of their dog at all times once inside. There is no separate small-dog or large-dog area, so it suits confident dogs more than nervous or reactive ones. Clean up after your dog. Bag dispensers are not guaranteed to be stocked, so bring your own. If children are with you, keep them supervised inside the fence line.
What's there. The park has secure perimeter fencing, sheltered seating under a steel-roofed gazebo, picnic tables, a water station or tub for dogs, a handful of agility obstacles, and floodlights for evening visits.
Getting there. The park is on Ulladulla Drive, Prestons, just off Cowpasture Road. Free street parking is generally available around the park. It is not close to a train station, though local bus routes run along the nearby main roads.
Nearby with the dogs. Piccolo Me Prestons and Lil Coffee Bean & Co are both a short drive away for a coffee stop before or after a run.

When to go. Weekend mornings draw the biggest crowd from the surrounding streets. Weeknights, especially after dinner, are noticeably quieter and are the better window for a dog still learning to share space with others. Good for confident dogs; less ideal for small dogs or anxious ones given the single shared enclosure.
