Port Lincoln Dog Park

Port Lincoln Dog Park is the town's first fully fenced off-leash park, on Puckridge Place off Windsor Avenue in the northern suburbs. Secure 1.8-metre mesh fencing and a double-gated entry make it a safe place to let a dog run, whether you have a bolter or a small breed.

The rules. Dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and stay under effective control. Use the two-gate airlock properly, closing each gate behind you before opening the next, so nothing slips out. Pick up after your dog and bin it. If your dog gets reactive or stressed, leash up and step out; community safety officers patrol and the park is run as a shared space.

What's there. The park is fully enclosed with a double-gated entry, a dog drinking fountain, an undercover area with picnic bench seating, and retained native trees for natural shade. Repurposed stormwater pipes and tree logs double as climb-and-explore features. Waste stations and bins are on site.

Getting there. It is roughly a 10-minute drive north of the Port Lincoln CBD and foreshore. On-street parking is easy to find around Puckridge Place and Windsor Avenue, and it is walkable on local footpaths if you are staying in the nearby northern suburbs.

Nearby with the dogs. Pair a run here with a coffee at one of the dog-friendly foreshore cafes in town, or a wander along the foreshore path on lead.

For a quieter run, aim for mid-morning or mid-afternoon on a weekday. It is busiest after about 4.30pm on weekdays and on weekend mornings, so anxious or small dogs do better in the off-peak windows.
