Del Giorno's Cafe

Del Giorno's is a waterfront cafe and restaurant at 80 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln, looking straight across to the marina and foreshore. For fresh Eyre Peninsula seafood with the dog at your feet and Boston Bay in view, it is the easy pick in town.

The dog setup

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating on the footpath fronting Tasman Terrace, and inside the restaurant is off-limits, so plan on an outdoor table. The seating runs alongside the main road, so a dog that settles calmly around passers-by and traffic has the easier time of it.

There is no dog menu or set water service, so bring your own bowl, though staff are generally happy to accommodate. A quick call ahead is worth making in peak season to lock in a footpath table.

The kitchen leans into local seafood, with Kinkawooka mussels, King George whiting, Coffin Bay oysters and prawns the regular draws, and it runs from breakfast at 7am right through to dinner.

The vibe

Established and busy rather than trendy, with the water view doing most of the decorating. Weekday mornings are the calm window, and weekends in peak season fill both tables and street parking.

Free street parking runs along Tasman Terrace with more in nearby public areas, though it fills in peak season and over weekends. The outdoor area is at footpath level and wheelchair accessible.

The Port Lincoln foreshore path is directly opposite, running along the water in both directions for an on-lead leg-stretch before or after a meal, and Port Lincoln Dog Park is the off-lead option nearby.
