St Clair Reserve Fenced Dog Park

St Clair Reserve is a fully fenced, double-gated dog park beside the lake in Port Kennedy, opened in 2022 by the City of Rockingham. Its main draw is a proper split layout, a large all-dog run and a separate small-dog area, so timid or little dogs get their own secure space.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash inside the enclosures and the park is open 24/7. Keep your dog under voice control, clean up after it, and use the small-dog enclosure for nervous or smaller dogs. There are no bag dispensers on site, so bring your own poo bags.

What's there. The all-dog area runs about 3,200 square metres and the small-dog area about 1,000, both grassed with mulched spots and genuine shade from trees. Double-gated entries keep escapes in check. There is play equipment including tunnels and platforms, drinking fountains with dog bowls, bench seating and a paved accessible path in. There are no public toilets at the reserve itself.

Getting there. The park sits within the Port Kennedy sports complex with free parking, including accessible bays. On public transport, Transperth services run to Warnbro Sound Avenue nearby, leaving a short walk.

Nearby with the dogs. Warnbro Dog Beach is a short drive away if you want to follow a run with a swim.

When to go. Early mornings and late afternoons are the social peak when locals bring their dogs. Weekday mid-morning is quietest. There is decent shade, but still bring water in summer. Good for small or shy dogs that want a fenced space of their own.
