Piara Waters Dog Park

Piara Waters Dog Park is a purpose-built, fully fenced off-leash park at 33 Macadamia Loop in the Newhaven estate, in Perth's southeast under the City of Armadale. It is designed for safe, social off-lead exercise and has become a regular meeting spot for local dog owners.

The dog setup

The park is fully fenced, with separate secure areas for large and small dogs, so you can pick the run that matches your dog's size and confidence. Owners must maintain voice control and supervise their dogs at all times, and gates need to be fully closed behind you going in and out.

Clean up after your dog. Bags are usually available on site, but bring your own to be safe, particularly on weekends when the dispenser runs down.

Max: make a habit of checking every gate latch yourself as you enter. A fenced park only works if everyone who uses it closes up properly, and it costs you two seconds to be the one who catches it.

What you'll find

There are drinking water facilities for the dogs, established trees for shade between runs, and ample seating around the edges. Agility equipment gives high-energy dogs something structured to do beyond the usual ball circuit.

Getting there

The park sits on Macadamia Loop within the Newhaven estate in Piara Waters, with street parking in the surrounding loop roads. It is an easy detour off the Armadale Road corridor, and the surrounding suburban paths work well for an on-lead warm-down afterwards.

Close by with the dogs

If you want to vary the routine, Calleya Fenced Dog Park in Banjup is a short drive north with the same fenced, split-zone layout. Further east, Harber Fenced Dog Park adds another enclosed option with an obstacle course.
