Peace Park Parmelia

Peace Park in Parmelia is a City of Kwinana dog exercise area that is fully fenced and off lead throughout, with the whole site split into separate zones for small dogs and for medium and large dogs. That size separation is the reason to make the trip: you work your dog in the right crowd without managing mismatches at the gate.

The dog setup

Both zones are fenced with gated entries, and off-lead play is permitted anywhere inside because the entire park is enclosed. Dogs must stay under effective control, and owners of reactive dogs are expected to manage them responsibly under standard City of Kwinana dog exercise rules.

The large grassed space gives room for a proper run, and several pieces of agility and play equipment add a training element to a visit. Bag dispensers and bins are on site, and an accessible entrance and parking are provided.

Max: the park runs hottest on weekday evenings and Saturday nights. If your dog prefers space, Sunday and Monday evenings are the quiet ones.

Worth knowing

The park sits beside the larger Peace Park Reserve, so there is green space to extend a walk on lead if the fenced session ends early. Bring your own bags as a backup even though dispensers are usually stocked, and carry water in summer because shade is limited to a few structures.

The address is 4 Parmelia Avenue, Parmelia, a few kilometres from the Kwinana Freeway with parking on residential streets next to the reserve. Entry is direct off Parmelia Avenue, and the layout means you can walk straight into the right zone for your dog's size without crossing the other yard.

Close by with the dogs

Eden Park Dog Park at Wellard and Baler Court in Hammond Park are both short drives for a change of scene, and Rockingham Fenced Dog Park is further on toward the coast. For a coffee afterwards, The Green Barista Cafe in Medina is the closest bet.
