Bliss Momos

Bliss Momos is a locally owned cafe in the Wellard Village precinct on The Strand, doing double duty as an Australian brunch cafe and a Nepalese-style momos kitchen. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, undercover seating, which makes it the easy feed stop for Wellard dog owners.

The dog setup

The undercover outdoor area is where dogs settle in, on lead beside your table; the indoor dining room stays dog-free. Staff have a friendly reputation with four-legged visitors and have been known to serve a puppacino, and water bowls are available on request, though bring your own on a hot day if you want to be sure. Because the outdoor area is covered, a grey Perth morning does not end the plan.

Worth knowing

The momos are the signature, and reviewers keep coming back to them alongside a solid brunch menu: breaky wraps, bacon pancakes and hash browns, with a genuine vegetarian and vegan selection and fresh-squeezed juice. Portions run generous. Hours are 7am to 2:30pm weekdays and 8am to 2:30pm weekends, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch operation rather than a dinner option. Come early on weekends if you want an outdoor table without a wait.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits in the Wellard Village complex, with a free car park on site and free street parking around it, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. The Eden Park Dog Park is the local off-lead option, close enough to pair a run with breakfast. The footpaths around Wellard Square also make an easy loop if you just want a leg stretch with the dog, and the Kwinana beachside suburbs are a short drive south if you want to make a morning of it.
