Champions Park Fenced Dog Park

Champions Park is a fully fenced off-leash area on Holden Drive in Oran Park, about 2,110 square metres of open grass built for the suburb's growing dog-owning population. It is council-run through Camden Council, gated, and separate from the adjoining children's playground.

The rules. Dogs must stay leashed until inside the fenced area, then can run off-leash under effective voice control. Owners must pick up after their dogs using the bins provided, and dogs must not enter the nearby playground. Remove any dog showing aggression straight away.

What's there. The fenced perimeter is secure, with shaded areas, a water station for dogs, waste bag dispensers, some agility-style play equipment and bench seating for owners.

When to go. Early mornings and late afternoons on weekdays draw the steadiest crowd of regulars; weekend mornings are busiest. For a quieter run, aim for the late morning to early afternoon window on a weekday. Good for confident dogs that enjoy a straightforward, open fenced space.
