Champions Park Fenced Dog Park

Champions Park on Holden Drive is Oran Park's main fenced dog park, run by Camden Council: roughly 2,100 square metres of fully fenced open grass in a suburb that keeps growing and keeps bringing dogs with it. It is gated, simple, and built for exactly one thing, a safe off-leash run close to home.

The dog setup

The perimeter fencing is secure and the space is genuinely open, so there is room for a proper sprint rather than a shuffle. Inside you will find shaded spots, a water station for dogs, waste bag dispensers, some agility-style equipment and benches for owners. Dogs stay on lead until they are through the double gates, then go free under voice control. Council rules apply: stay in the park with your dog, close every gate behind you, bin all droppings, leash up and leave if your dog turns aggressive or unmanageable, and keep out of the adjoining children's playground. One person can supervise a maximum of four dogs, and unvaccinated puppies or sick dogs should stay home.

Max: lead on until you're through both gates. It keeps the entry area calm when everyone arrives at once.

Worth knowing

The park is open around the clock. Weekday early mornings and late afternoons bring the regulars, weekend mornings are the busiest stretch, and late morning to early afternoon on a weekday is your quiet window. There is little natural shade beyond the designated areas, so summer visits work best early or late. Confident dogs that like an open run get the most out of it; very small or timid dogs can find the big-dog energy a lot at peak times, and the smaller fenced yards at Titan Park across town may suit them better.

Getting there and parking

The park sits on Holden Drive, with street parking along the front that is generally easy outside peak times. Local bus routes serve the wider Oran Park area, but driving is the practical option with a dog. The Podium town centre is a few minutes away.

While you're out there

Around the Podium, cafes typically welcome dogs at outdoor tables, and woof Grounds over in Gregory Hills is built entirely around dog people. Sidewalk Society covers the Narellan side. For another fenced session, Titan Park Fenced Dog Park has separate yards for big and small dogs, and Narellan Leash Free Park is the third option nearby. Staying over, Narellan Motor Inn is the closest pet-friendly base.
