Catherine Park Fenced Dog Park

Catherine Park Fenced Dog Park, known to Camden Council as Paw Park, sits on Rowland Avenue in Catherine Field and is one of the better-equipped off-leash parks in the Macarthur region. Roughly 3400 square metres of fully fenced, well-kept grass give dogs genuine room to run, with a separate fenced section for small dogs and agility equipment in the main yard.

The dog setup

The dedicated small-dog run is the standout, giving quieter pups a calm space away from the big, boisterous dogs in the main enclosure. The main yard adds agility obstacles, bench seating and a water tap with bowls. The grass is kept in good condition and the grounds are tidy, which reviewers call out consistently. Open around the clock, and the local crowd is friendly rather than chaotic.

Stay on the lead through the gated entry, keep your dog under effective voice control inside, and leash up and leave if aggression flares. Waste bag dispensers are on site but run out regularly, so carry your own. Outside the fence, the surrounding precinct has shared paths and foot traffic, so clip the lead on before you leave the gate.

Max: do a slow lap of the perimeter with your dog on the first visit. Reading the room before unclipping is what keeps a good dog park good.

Worth knowing

The park draws from the surrounding Catherine Park estate and nearby Oran Park, so after-school and weekend morning sessions are the social peak. Unvaccinated puppies, females in season and any dog with a history of aggression are not appropriate for a shared off-leash space like this one.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Rowland Avenue in Catherine Field, with street parking close to the gate. It is a few minutes from Oran Park and a straightforward drive from Camden and Narellan. Public transport is limited, so plan on driving.
