Narellan Leash Free Park

Narellan's leash-free park is the fenced off-leash area on Rosevale Place, tucked behind the industrial and retail strip off Narellan Road and managed by Camden Council as part of Rosevale Reserve. About 1,449 square metres of fully enclosed running space, with enough planting and equipment to work as an everyday option rather than a bare paddock.

The dog setup

The whole area is fenced, with fresh water points, agility equipment for dogs that want a job, and seating for owners who would rather watch than run laps. Waste bags are supplied at the entrance, which saves the pocket-stash habit most parks demand, and bins take the pickup from there.

Dogs stay under effective control even off-leash, gates get closed properly behind you, and no dog is left unattended at any point. Any sign of aggression and the expectation is simple: leash up and take your dog out straight away, no negotiation.

Worth knowing

Pepsi: it is a shared entry and busy periods mean dogs coming and going at once, so check the gate is fully latched before you let anyone off lead.

Shade is limited through the middle of the day, which makes mornings the better slot in warmer months, and the grass wears in patches through busy stretches. Being tucked behind the commercial strip, the park is compact rather than scenic; it is a place to exercise the dog properly, not to linger all afternoon.

Getting there and parking

The address is 7a Rosevale Place, reached via Camden Valley Way or Narellan Road. Street parking nearby is limited and can fill on weekends. Bus stops on Camden Valley Way near Smeaton Grange Road are a short walk away, which gives you a fallback if the kerbside hunt fails.

Weekday mornings or midday are the quiet windows, with weekends and the after-work stretch drawing the crowds.
