Mt Waverley Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Mt Waverley Reserve is an open off-leash space in Mount Waverley, part of the broader Mount Waverley Linear Reserve managed by the City of Monash. It offers established trees, sealed walking paths and wide grass, and connects through to the Heany Street and Beverley Grove sections. It is not fully fenced, so the standout is the room to roam rather than enclosure, and recall matters.

The rules. Dogs must be under effective voice or hand control and you must carry a lead. Leash up within 20m of any playground or BBQ area, and within 10m of major shared pathways. Dogs are not off-leash on sports grounds when training or games are in progress. Bring waste bags and pick up; council bins are provided.

What is there. Paved walking trails good for on-lead or off-lead strolls, bench seating through the reserve, and off-street parking on Heany Street. The Waverley Community Learning Centre sits alongside.

Getting there. Reach it by car via Stephensons Road or Blackburn Road with parking off Heany Street, a short walk from Mount Waverley Station on the Glen Waverley line, or by bus along Stephensons Road.

Quietest mid-morning on weekdays; busiest early morning and late afternoon. Good for a relaxed walk with off-lead stretches rather than a contained run-around.
