What visitors mention
Brightwater Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area on the eastern side of the Brightwater Sportsfield in Mountain Creek. The fencing plus a big open grass run and a set of agility obstacles make it a reliable local pick for a proper off-leash session.
The rules. Off-leash applies only inside the fenced area; dogs are not permitted on the adjacent active sports field at any time. Keep your dog under effective voice control, pick up after them using the provided bins, and make sure they wear their council registration tag. Regulated or restricted dogs are not allowed in off-leash areas.
What's there. The park has agility gear including jumps and ramps, water troughs, waste bins, a covered shelter with a day bed and extra seating dotted about. There are two entry points, and public toilets sit on the western side of the sports field.
Getting there. Easiest access is parking on Cordyline Place or Heliconia Street, with a walkway at the end of Cordyline Place leading straight to the park. SunBus stops on the main Mountain Creek roads leave a short walk in.
Watch-outs. Shaded seating is limited, so on hot days claim a spot early. Visitors report midges and sandflies in humid weather, so bring repellent if you are staying a while.
Nearby with the dogs. The Brightwater Marketplace precinct a short trip away has cafes and the Brightwater Hotel with outdoor seating that often takes dogs.

Weekday afternoons after work and weekends are the social peak. For a calmer run, come early morning, which also gets you the shade before it fills. Good for dogs who need a secure space to burn off energy.
