Pacific Escape

Pacific Escape is a small row of self-contained beachfront villas on Pacific Boulevard at Buddina, with ocean views, balconies and decks, and selected villas that take dogs overnight. With the Sunshine Coast's best-known 24-hour off-leash beach out front, it works as a genuine coastal base with the dog rather than a compromise.

Dogs at Pacific Escape

Villas such as Villa 1 and Villa 2 are advertised as dog-friendly, with indoor access and fenced outdoor space on some units. Generally up to two dogs are allowed, and some villas carry a weight cap of around 10kg, so the cap for your exact villa needs checking. There is typically no extra pet fee, but dogs must be well-behaved and pre-approved by the host before arrival. Treat the terms as indicative and confirm everything at booking: which villa, its dog number and weight limit, whether it has the fenced yard, and the approval step.

Max: nail down the pre-approval in writing before you pay. A dog-friendly label on a listing is not the same as a confirmed booking with your dog in it.

Worth knowing

The villas sit right on the Buddina beachfront, with the off-leash beach stretch and the coastal pathway on the doorstep for morning and evening walks. The beach section between accesses 210 and 217 is off-leash around the clock under Sunshine Coast Council rules, so timing is not a constraint here like it is on most beaches. Cafes such as Sandy Feet Cafe Kawana are within easy walking or short driving distance.

Getting there and parking

The villas front Pacific Boulevard at Buddina, the headland end of the Kawana strip, with off-street parking at the villas. Mooloolaba is about ten minutes north and Maroochydore airport roughly twenty minutes further on.

Close by with the dogs

The Buddina Beach Off-Leash Area (Access 210-217) starts effectively at the front door, and the Point Cartwright Walkway gives a headland leg stretch. Sandy Feet Cafe Kawana covers the morning coffee, and Saltwater Villas at Mooloolaba is the dog-friendly fallback if Pacific Escape is booked out.
