Sunday Coffee Buddina

Sunday Coffee is a small coffee-and-bagel shop at Shop 8, 5 Bermagui Crescent, Buddina, opening at 5:30am every day and geared squarely at the morning-walk crowd. It sits in a walking pocket between Buddina Beach and the Point Cartwright side of Kawana, which makes it an easy stop to fold into a beach or riverside loop with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating and along the footpath verandah, with enough room for a well-behaved dog to settle beside the table. It is a busy walking pocket with plenty of foot traffic, so keep the lead on and bring a travel bowl; the early hours mean most four-legged visitors arrive straight off the sand.

The vibe

This is a specialty coffee operation first: single-origin espresso, batch brew and a bar-tapped nitro cold brew, with cold foam matcha and lattes for the warmer months. The bagels are the food headline, sweet and savoury, alongside almond croissants, soft serve and coffee gelato, with vegetarian and vegan options in the mix. Hours run 5:30am to 2pm daily, with a 5:30am to 11am window on public holidays, so plan the dog walk for the morning shift. The feel is local and relaxed rather than a tourist stop.

Getting there and parking

Bermagui Crescent sits just back from the Buddina shoreline, with street parking out front and through the surrounding streets. It is an easy walk from Buddina Beach or from the Kawana Shoppingworld side.

Close by with the dogs

The Buddina Beach Off-Leash Area (Access 210-217) gives proper off-lead sand time nearby, and the Point Cartwright Walkway keeps the loop going on lead. If the crawl continues, Little Miss Saine and Sandy Feet Cafe Kawana are fellow dog-welcoming Buddina cafes.
