Little Miss Saine

Little Miss Saine is a relaxed local cafe on Parkana Crescent in Buddina, tucked into a coastal residential pocket a few blocks back from the beach. It runs a 6:30am to 1pm service every day and is well set up for a coffee stop with the dog on the way to or from the sand.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and alfresco tables, on lead. Staff are used to dogs and will sort a puppuccino for well-behaved visitors, which says more about the welcome than any sign could. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, since one is not guaranteed at the table.

The vibe and the menu

The coffee carries a strong local reputation, and the kitchen turns out a full breakfast and brunch menu: the brekky burger and acai bowls are the regular orders, with a solid range of vegan and vegetarian options and fresh-baked muffins. The vibe is quiet and unhurried, a few blocks back from the tourist strips, though the small space means a wait can build at weekend brunch. Mid-morning on a weekday is the easy window.

Getting there and parking

The address is 24 Parkana Crescent, Buddina. There is a free car park plus street parking out the front, so it is an easy pull-in even with a dog in the back.

Make a day of it

The off-lead section of Buddina Beach at access points 210 to 217 is a short stroll for a run on the sand, and the Point Cartwright Walkway is the on-lead walk this pocket is known for. Sunday Coffee and Sandy Feet Cafe Kawana are the other dog-friendly coffee stops within walking distance.
