Mayfield Park Dog Off Leash Area on Mayfield Drive in Mount Waverley is a City of Monash designated off-leash reserve wrapped around a sportsground: flat, grassed and roomy, shared with a playground, tennis club and the Mount Waverley football and netball clubrooms. It suits dogs with reliable recall rather than escape artists, because the reserve is open and unfenced.

The dog setup

Off-leash applies across the designated park zones under council rules, with your dog under effective voice or hand control and within sight the whole time. Carry a lead and use it within 20 metres of the playground and the busy picnic spots. Dogs are banned from the tennis courts at all times, and when weekend sport is running on the ground, leash up rather than letting your dog wander into play. Bag dispensers and bins are on site for cleanup.
