It is an easy stop between the city and Salisbury rather than a destination park.

The dog setup

Two separately fenced runs split small and large dogs, so you can pick the right crowd before you unclip. Entry runs through a double-gate system, and both gates need to be latched behind you before your dog comes off the lead. Established trees give shade over parts of the enclosures and bench seating lets you sit while your dog works. Brisbane City Council rules apply: effective voice or hand control at all times, no dogs that harass or rush others, bags and bins for waste, and an aggressive dog leaves on the lead immediately.

The vibe

Weekday mornings are the quiet session, and weekday afternoons plus weekend mornings are the busiest. If your dog is nervous in a crowd, aim for early on a weekday or late Sunday afternoon. Because the space is compact, the atmosphere shifts with whoever is in; regulars tend to keep sessions short and friendly.

The park is directly on the Beaudesert Road and Evans Road intersection with dedicated parking alongside the enclosures, which is genuinely convenient by southside standards. By bus, the closest stop is Beaudesert Road at Muriel and Evans, stop 37, a short walk in.

Close by with the dogs

Botanicafe on Beaudesert Road is the obvious post-park coffee, with outdoor seating and a habit of treating visiting dogs well. For a bush leg-stretch, the Grey Gum STEPS Track in Toohey Forest is close by on lead.
