Dog Park - Mitcham is a fenced, off-leash area on Brown Hill Creek Road in the City of Mitcham, a few minutes south of the Adelaide city fringe. It is a straightforward, well-kept local park rather than a destination in itself, good for a quick off-leash run on the way through the southern suburbs.
The rules: The area is fenced, so dogs can be let off-leash once inside, but owners are still expected to keep effective voice control at all times. Pick up after your dog. As of late 2025 poop bags were not reliably stocked on-site, so bring your own. Check the signage at the gate for any current City of Mitcham conditions, since local rules can change.
What's there: Full perimeter fencing, bench seating, some shaded spots, waste bins and a water dispenser for dogs. There is also basic play equipment, rails, posts and pipes, more agility-style extras than most suburban dog parks offer.
Getting there: The park sits directly on Brown Hill Creek Road. Street parking is usually available close by, and local bus routes run along nearby Old Belair Road if you are coming without a car.
Nearby with the dogs: Mitcham Reserve is close by for an on-leash walk or a picnic afterwards, and cafes around the Mitcham Shopping Centre strip on Belair Road tend to have outdoor tables that work for dogs.

Weekdays are quieter than weekends here. Locals report Tuesday mornings and evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons as the busiest windows, with Sunday evenings, Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and Friday afternoons calmer. If your dog does better with fewer playmates, aim for a weekday early afternoon.
