Hark! Coffee Roasters

Hark! Coffee Roasters is a boutique roastery and espresso bar on Boothby Street at the Ontario Avenue corner in Panorama, Adelaide's southern suburbs, known locally for house-roasted single-origin coffee and a genuinely dog-friendly outdoor setup.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the relaxed outdoor seating area at the front of the shop, north-facing and sun-catching. There is no indoor seating for dogs, as expected for a working roastery and espresso bar.

A water bowl is often put out for visiting dogs, but bring your own on hot days in case it is not out. There is no dedicated dog menu; the local dog-walking regulars just make this their morning stop, and pups are part of the furniture.

The vibe

This is small-batch, dark-roasted coffee with a dedicated pour-over bench, plus bacon and egg rolls with house-made relish and the occasional muffin. It is a roastery first and cafe second, with a relaxed, cyclist-friendly neighbourhood feel rather than a big brunch menu.

Hours run 7am to 12:30pm weekdays, 7:30am to 1pm Saturdays, and it is closed Sundays, so plan the visit as a morning stop.

Getting there

Street parking runs along Boothby Street and Ontario Avenue. Local bus routes along nearby Goodwood Road and Springbank Road leave a short walk to the door, and Panorama sits about 10 minutes south of the city.

Close by with the dogs

The CC Hood Reserve a few streets over on Booth Avenue includes a fenced dog park with separate large and small dog areas, which makes a coffee run here an easy two-stop morning.

When to go

Weekday mornings from the 7am open are the calmest, with the dog-walking crowd building towards mid-morning. Saturday is the busiest and most social day, and Sundays are out since the roastery is shut.
