The Osmond Motel & Apartments on Glen Osmond Road, Fullarton, trades as part of Adelaide Dress Circle Apartments and is one of the few inner-south Adelaide properties that takes dogs into apartment-style rooms rather than just ground-floor motel doors. The catch is that the pet policy is unusually specific, and it decides who can book before price ever comes into it.

Dogs are accepted only in designated pet-friendly rooms, which are the Deluxe King Rooms and the one and two bedroom apartments, capped at one dog per room. The size ceiling is 34kg, so large breeds are out, and the property names its exclusions outright: Rottweilers, Pit Bull Terriers, Bulldogs, German Shepherds and Doberman Pinschers are not accepted. House rules are the standard sensible set: dog on a lead in public areas, no leaving the dog unattended in the room, and a dog that is toilet trained and quiet.

Budget for the fee schedule, which scales with stay length: $50 for one to two nights, $100 for three to seven nights, $200 for eight to twenty nights and $300 beyond that, plus a $300 refundable bond. Pet-friendly room stock is limited, so confirm the allocation with the property after booking rather than assuming your room type qualifies.

Max: If your dog is a crossbreed with any shepherd or bulldog in the mix, ring the property and get written confirmation before you book. The breed list is enforced as written and an arrival-day argument is nobody's holiday.

Worth knowing

Guest feedback scores the property around 4.3, with praise for modern rooms, comfortable beds, soundproofing and friendly staff, alongside occasional notes about traffic noise, which is worth weighing if your dog reacts to road sound. The Fullarton location on Glen Osmond Road puts the Adelaide Hills end of the city within easy reach and the Parklands a short drive north.
