Kingsthorpe Dog Park

Kingsthorpe Dog Park is the fenced off-leash area inside Rosalie Walk Park, just off Talisker Street in Kingsthorpe, west of Toowoomba. It is a small, secure space for a proper off-leash run without the drive into town, and the fencing is the whole point: dogs can be let off the leash safely inside the boundary.

The rules. Off-leash applies only inside the fenced area. Everywhere else in Rosalie Walk Park, dogs must stay on-leash. Getting there. Access is off Goombungee-Kingsthorpe Road via Talisker Street, with street-side parking near the entrance. There is no useful public transport option, so plan on driving.

Nearby. Kingsthorpe itself is light on cafes, so most owners head into Toowoomba (North Toowoomba or Wilsonton) for a pet-friendly coffee stop afterwards. Picnic Point Parklands is a short drive away too, though it's on-leash only.

Weekend mornings and weekday late afternoons are the busiest windows. Mid-week mornings and early afternoons are quieter, and if your dog is nervous around other dogs, a cold or rainy day usually means you'll have the fenced area to yourselves.
