Kingsgrove Avenue Reserve Fenced Dog Park

A small, fully fenced off-leash park on Kingsgrove Avenue, open 24/7 and best suited to dogs who prefer a quieter run over a big open field. It is compact, so it does the job for a local top-up rather than a long session.

The rules. Off-leash any hour, any day, inside the fence. Dogs must be leashed on entry and exit and kept under effective voice control while inside. Clean up after your dog, and any dog showing aggression should be removed straight away.

What's there. A single-gated fence around the whole enclosure, a water fountain inside, a few benches or chairs, and some mature trees for shade. There is no lighting, so it is a daytime spot, and there are no public toilets on site.

Getting there. Free on-street parking runs along Kingsgrove Avenue, though it tightens during weekday commuter hours. Kingsgrove Station is a short walk away on the T8 line.

Watch-outs. The ground is dirt and woodchips and turns muddy after rain. Because the park is small, a large or easily overwhelmed dog is better off coming when it is quiet.

Quietest on Sundays and early weekday afternoons. Good for smaller dogs and for anyone who wants a secure fence over a sprawling paddock. If you want a coffee after, Code Espresso is close by.
