Victoria Park Fenced Dog Park(Goulburn)

Victoria Park Fenced Dog Park is the largest and most popular off-lead dog park in Goulburn, on the corner of Clifford Street and Faithfull Street. Fully fenced with a double-gated entry, it is the default pick when a dog needs a secure proper run, and travellers passing through on the Hume use it as a leg-stretch stop as much as locals do.

The dog setup

Inside the double gates there are dog bubblers, agility hurdles and toys, bag dispensers and bins, plenty of seating and shade from mature trees, plus a noticeboard advertising local pet services. Public toilets and a playground sit in the surrounding park for the rest of the family. The size is the real advantage: room for a proper gallop and a rotating cast of local dogs, which makes it the sociable pick among Goulburn's off-lead grounds.

Worth knowing

The enclosure is off lead, but dogs stay on lead everywhere else in the wider Victoria Park, including around the sports fields, and there are no dogs within 10 metres of playground equipment. Goulburn Mulwaree Council manages the site, so check its page if closures or rule changes are in question. Standard etiquette applies: clean up and keep an eye on play.

Max: double gates only work if you close the first one behind you before opening the second. With a strong, fast dog, latch as you go rather than trusting it to swing shut.

Getting there

The park sits at the Clifford and Faithfull Street intersection with on-site parking, close to the CBD and reachable on foot via local walking paths. Early mornings, after 4pm and sunny weekends are the busy stretches; mid-morning or early afternoon on a weekday is the quiet window.
