What visitors mention
Scentral Bark Fenced Dog Park on Austin Grove is the newest and most polished of Googong's three fenced parks, open 24/7 with separate sections for large and small dogs so the size mismatch that can cramp Rockley isn't an issue here.
The rules. Off-leash only applies within the fenced sections, and dogs need to be under the control of a competent person at all times. Restricted breed or declared dangerous/menacing dogs aren't permitted. Owners must pick up and dispose of waste straight away, bags are provided at the entrances, and every dog should be wearing a collar with contact details. The entry gates are hydraulic, so make sure they're properly secured behind you.
What's there. Hurdles and weave poles in both sections, water bubblers with bowls, benches for owners, and concrete paths for easier, cleaner access. The trees are still young, so shade is limited in spots, worth knowing on a hot day.

Getting there. The park is on Austin Grove within the Googong development, off Googong Road, with ample street parking along Austin Grove. Qcity Transit buses run from Queanbeyan and Canberra into the township, with a short walk to the park from the nearest stop.
Nearby with the dogs. Coffee Guru in Googong has pet-friendly outdoor seating close by. In Queanbeyan, The Mill Cafe by the river, Ciao Cafe & Cakes and Thirty4 Cafe & Restaurant all welcome dogs outdoors.
Weekday evenings from about 5pm to 7pm and weekend mornings from 8am to 11am are the busiest. Weekday middays are the quiet option for a shy dog, and since it's open around the clock, an early or late visit is always on the table if you want the place to yourself. Bring sun protection for yourself given the limited shade.
