What visitors mention
Rockley Fenced Dog Park, on the corner of Rockley Parade and Alchin Street, is the smallest of Googong's fenced parks, and that's the point: it suits smaller dogs and puppies who don't need much room to burn energy, with weave poles, tunnels and pipes to keep them busy.
The rules. Dogs stay on-leash until you're through the double-gated entry, then it's off-leash inside the fence. You still need voice or visual control at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs; bags are provided on-site but it's worth carrying your own.
What's there. A fully fenced perimeter with a double-gated entry to stop dogs slipping out, a water fountain, park benches, and the agility gear mentioned above. Free street parking sits right by the entrance.

Getting there. It's about 30 minutes from central Canberra via the Monaro Highway and Googong Road. Local buses connect Queanbeyan and Googong, but a car is the practical option for getting a dog there. Googong residents can walk in via the suburb's bike and footpath network.
Nearby with the dogs. Gorman & Co at Googong North Village Centre has outdoor seating for a meal or a drink afterwards, and Moker Bean Cafe nearby is a solid coffee stop with dog-friendly seating. Queanbeyan, about 15 minutes away, has pet-friendly stays if you're travelling further.
Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons are quietest. Weekends and the after-work window from about 4:30pm to 6pm get busy fast given the park's size, so if it looks crowded when you arrive, a nervous or small dog may be better served coming back later.
