Conyngham Street Dog Park

Conyngham Street Dog Park is the primary dedicated off-leash dog park in the City of Burnside, at 65A Conyngham Street, Glenside, and it is open 24 hours. A 2023/24 redevelopment added a dedicated small dog zone alongside the large dog area, making it a fully fenced space built for safe socialising and exercise.

The dog setup

The park is fully fenced with double-gated entries and split into separate large and small dog zones. Inside, dogs are off lead under effective voice or hand control with owners supervising throughout; on the way in and out, dogs stay on a lead of no more than 2 metres through the parking area.

There is plenty of greenery, natural shade from established trees, owner benches, water points that feed into small pond areas, and dog bag dispensers with bins on site.

Max: the double-gated entries are the detail that matters here. Pause inside the gate, let the inner zone notice you, and keep your dog calm on the lead until you are fully through before unclipping.

Worth knowing

Some ground turns muddy and water-logged after rain, particularly around the pond points, so expect mess and plan footwear. Weekday afternoons from 5 to 6pm and weekend mornings from 9 to 11am are the busy windows; early mornings before 8am or weekday midday give you space, and skip the day after heavy rain if the mud bothers you.

Getting there and parking

Car access is from Glen Osmond Road, with parking off Conyngham Street. Nearby Glenside bus routes put the park within a short walk.

Close by with the dogs

Myrtle Bank Dog Park is a second off-lead run a few minutes away, and the Mount Osmond Reserve trails add a proper hill walk on the Burnside side. For a post-park sit-down, Spill the Beans Cafe in Linden Park welcomes dogs on its outdoor deck.
