Sargent Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Sargent Reserve Fenced Dog Park in Eatons Hill, on Brisbane's northern edge, is a fully fenced off lead park managed by the City of Moreton Bay. The secure perimeter is the whole reason to come: a reliable enclosed space to run a dog without watching the surrounding reserve or the nearby roads.

The dog setup

The enclosure is fully fenced with two separate entry gates. Inside there is a mix of open ground and shaded, undercover areas with seating, plus dog drinking stations with bubblers and bins for waste. Off lead applies inside the fence only; the rest of Sargent Reserve is on lead. Effective control still applies within the park, and pick up is expected immediately rather than eventually.

Worth knowing

Public toilets sit at the far end of the adjoining oval, handy with kids in tow. With two gates, the usual escape risk doubles; keep the lead clipped until the first gate is shut behind you and glance back before opening either. The park is open around the clock and the regular crowd is friendly, which shows up in what locals say about the place.

Getting there and parking

The park sits at 27 Bunya Crossing Road, Eatons Hill, close to the South Pine Road area. On site parking sits near the entrance, including wheelchair accessible bays. This part of Moreton Bay is car country, so private vehicle is the practical way in.

Close by with the dogs

Weekday visits are quieter than weekend mornings if your dog prefers space. For another fully fenced run, Warner Lake Dog Park and Cashmere Dog Park are both short drives north.
