Getting there. Access points run off side streets along the corridor near the Koonung Park area, with on-street parking nearby. Local buses run along Bulleen Road and Doncaster Road.

Watch-outs. The shared trail is busy with cyclists, especially at commuter times. If your dog is reactive to bikes, keep to the grassed areas away from the path.

When to go. Mid-morning and early afternoon are quietest; weekday commuter peaks and weekend mornings bring out the cyclists. Best for confident dogs with strong recall.
