What visitors mention
Diamond Creek Fenced Dog Park sits on the Marngrook Oval reserve on Main Hurstbridge Road, a fully fenced off-leash park with zones split by energy level, including a separate small dog and timid dog area. It is the standout off-leash option in Diamond Creek: secure, zoned, and set up for training as well as free running.
The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced areas but must stay under effective voice control and be supervised at all times. Entry and exit points use double-gate airlocks so dogs cannot bolt while gates are open. Clean up immediately: bins are provided, but carry spare bags. Glass containers are not permitted, and it is worth keeping an eye on small children around dogs at full pace.
What's there. The park is split into a runabout area, a training zone with ramps, tunnels and poles, and a dedicated small dog zone. Water fountains with bowls are fitted inside the zones, and there is bench seating and shade. Surface is mixed grass and gravel, and the runabout zone in particular turns muddy in winter, so a towel in the car is worth it.
Getting there. There is a dedicated car park right at the reserve entrance off Main Hurstbridge Road. The park is also an easy walk from Diamond Creek railway station on the Hurstbridge line, and is built to be wheelchair accessible.
Nearby with the dogs. Several cafes along Diamond Creek's Main Street offer outdoor seating where dogs can settle in after a run, and the Diamond Creek Trail runs nearby for a longer walk. Golden Hills Brewery has dog-friendly seating under its front awning if you want a drink to finish.

When to go. Weekday afternoons between 4 and 6pm and weekend mornings are the busiest windows. If your dog is small, timid, or new to off-leash parks, an off-peak visit lets them settle into the small dog zone without a crowd. Good for boisterous dogs that want proper room to run, and for nervous dogs thanks to the separate quiet zone.
