Robert Booth Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Robert Booth Reserve has a secure, triangle-shaped fenced dog enclosure in the north-west corner of the reserve, off Bess Court in Dandenong. It is the quiet option: grassy, well kept, with around twenty mature trees for shade, and rarely crowded.

The rules. Off-leash is allowed only inside the fenced enclosure. Anywhere else in the wider reserve your dog must be on-leash. Stay inside the fenced area with your dog and keep it in sight, pick up waste straight away using the bins provided, and keep dogs with a history of aggression out of the off-leash space.

What's there. The enclosure is fully fenced. There is a water tap with a bowl, and undercover shaded seating. The wider reserve has a playground, an athletics track and public toilets.

Getting there. The address is Bess Court, Dandenong 3175, accessed via Clow Street, with an easy parking area at the Bess Court entrance. Several bus routes run along Clow Street or nearby Frankston-Dandenong Road.

It is generally peaceful, with the quietest run usually on Thursday and Friday mornings, and busier on weekend afternoons and early weekday evenings. The space is large enough that it rarely feels crowded even with a few other dogs about. Good for shy dogs and for owners who want a calm, contained run.
