Selandra Rise Fenced Dog Park

Selandra Rise Fenced Dog Park is a compact off-leash run inside the Selandra Boulevard reserve in Clyde North, at 130 Selandra Boulevard. It is a fully fenced, double-gated enclosure of roughly 40 by 20 metres, which makes it a reliable spot for a secure sprint without road worries, with the wider reserve's playground, BBQ area and basketball half-court right alongside for the rest of the family.

The dog setup

Off-leash applies inside the fence only. Everywhere else in the surrounding parkland and paths your dog needs to be on a lead under the City of Casey's rules. The double-gated entry does its job well, so close the first gate before opening the second. Inside there is grass, a couple of seats and a small tree, but shade is limited and there is no separate small-dog run, so watch how the mix of dogs is travelling.

A water tap with a dog bowl sits just outside the enclosure, along with bins and picnic tables. Because the run is small, it suits short bursts and small-to-medium dogs better than a long off-leash roam. Carry your own bags just in case the bin is full, and take any dog showing pushy behaviour out straight away.

Pepsi: if the run is already crowded when you arrive, clip the lead back on and walk the reserve paths instead. The footprint fills fast.

The vibe

This is a neighbourhood park for the surrounding estate rather than a destination dog park. Expect local regulars, toddlers on the playground next door and a friendly pace on weekdays. Weekends and the after-work stretch from about 5pm are when the small footprint gets busiest.

Getting there and parking

The park sits on Selandra Boulevard with free street parking usually close by, and paved paths link it through the estate. Buses serve Clyde North, but driving is the practical option for most visitors.

Close by with the dogs

If you want more room to run, the Pasadena Fenced Dog Park at Clyde adds agility obstacles in a larger enclosure. Grab a coffee afterwards at Cafe Delaray & Co or the Humble Merchant at Smiths Lane, both in Clyde North.
