Maple Park Fenced Dog Park is a modern, fully fenced off-leash park on Apium Street in Clyde, with a grassy open space, an agility course and a gravel and log area for dogs to explore.

The rules. Dogs need to be on-leash until you're through the double gates and inside the fenced area, and owners are expected to stay and supervise the whole time. Waste bins sit at the entry gates, so there's no excuse to leave it behind.

What's there. The agility set-up includes a zigzag balance beam, weave poles, ramps and hurdle circles, plus a water tap and bowl near one entrance. Seating is unshaded, and the trees planted around the park are still young, so there's minimal shade for now. It sits next to a playground, handy if you're bringing the family.

Getting there. Street parking is available along Apium Street and the surrounding residential roads. It's easiest reached by car via Ballarto Road or Clyde Five Ways Road; there's no direct public transport to the site.

Weekday mornings or mid-afternoons are the quietest times. With little natural shade, aim for early morning or evening in summer, and expect it busier on weekends and weekday evenings after 5pm.
