Dablam Street Fenced Dog Park

Dablam Street Fenced Dog Park is a modern off-leash enclosure in the Meridian estate at Clyde North, reached off Rathi Street beside the Dablam Street playground and pump track. It is fully fenced with a double-gate airlock entry, kept in good condition, and sits in the middle of a proper family park, so a dog run and a kid stop can happen in the one trip.

The dog setup

Stay on the lead until you are through the airlock, then off-leash applies inside the fence. Close one gate fully before opening the next. Inside there is a water tap with a bowl, basic seating and limited shade, and no small-dog section. One thing this park does not do for you: waste bags. None are supplied on site, so bring your own every visit.

Max: the grass holds mud for days after rain, so keep a towel in the car. And watch the fence line where it backs onto the pump track if your dog is bike-reactive.

Worth knowing

The pump track runs directly alongside the fence, and bikes and scooters come and go all weekend. Most dogs tune it out quickly, but a bike-reactive dog will spend the visit patrolling the boundary, so pick quieter times if that sounds familiar. The adjoining playground area has BBQs, undercover picnic tables and the closest public toilets.

Getting there and parking

Access is via Rathi Street with free street parking, which tightens up on weekend mornings when the playground is busy. Paved paths thread through the Meridian estate, so it is an easy walk for locals. Buses are limited this far out, so most visitors drive.

When to go

Mid to late weekday mornings are the quiet window. Weekday afternoons between 4pm and 6pm, plus weekend mornings, bring the regulars and the playground crowds together.
