Who it suits. Best for dog owners who camp or caravan and want creek and off-leash space on the doorstep, rather than anyone after a cabin or motel-style room. The adjacent reserve has water taps, bins and on-leash walking tracks along Cardinia Creek, plus the large off-leash area with its creek beaches.

Before you book. Arrange the dog with the camping manager and book ahead, as demand is high. Access to the caravan park is via Cardinia Street (Gate 5). Note that Sundays bring the Akoonah Park Market right next door, so expect more activity and tighter dog rules that day.
