Victory Road Reserve Dog Park

Victory Road Reserve Dog Park sits within a 30-hectare stretch of open parkland in Clarinda, managed by the City of Kingston. The fenced off-leash area is the draw: a purpose-built space with separate large and small dog zones, double-gated entry and agility equipment, open around the clock.

The dog setup

The fenced dog park is fully enclosed and split into two sections, one for large dogs and one for small dogs, each with a double-gated airlock so dogs cannot slip out when owners come and go.

Outside the fence, dogs stay on-lead, particularly on the trails climbing toward the lookout, and the City of Kingston requires dogs to be under effective control throughout the reserve.

Inside you will find agility equipment for training, plus a shelter with seating in the large dog enclosure and waste bins provided.

Worth knowing

There are no water taps for dogs or public toilets within the fenced park, so carry your own water and a collapsible bowl, especially in warm weather when a hard run dries dogs out quickly.

The broader reserve adds walking tracks, fitness stations, biking routes and a high-point lookout with views across the city and bay. Early mornings and late afternoons suit best, and weekends bring the social crowd along with busier airlocks at peak times.

Max: pack a full water bottle and a collapsible bowl before you leave home. Fill up at home, top up at the car, and you will not get caught short.

Getting there and parking

The reserve fronts Clayton Road, with the navigation address 649 Clayton Road, Clarinda VIC 3169, and the fenced dog park accessed from the Victory Road side.

Free street parking is available on both Victory Road and Leslie Road, a short walk from the gates, and it is a quick trip down Clayton Road from Clayton itself.
