Spring Road Reserve Off-leash Dog Park

Spring Road Reserve is a large off-leash park in Dingley Village, built on a 38-hectare former landfill that the City of Kingston has turned into open space. It pairs a fully fenced main dog run with a big semi-fenced open area, native planting, and wetlands, and it is open 24/7 - the draw is having both a secure enclosure and room to roam in one spot.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced and signposted zones only. In the surrounding parkland, car park, and on the walking trails, dogs must be on lead. The adjoining wetlands are strictly off-limits to dogs to protect rare bird and frog species - keep well clear of that zone. Carry a leash at all times, keep your dog under effective voice control, and pick up after them.

What's there. The main run has secure fencing and a double-gate entry. There are water taps and bowls, waste-bag dispensers and bins, seating, and mature trees for shade. Paved and unpaved paths run outside the off-leash area for on-lead walking.

Getting there. The reserve is at 241 Spring Road, with on-site parking off Spring Road that can fill during busy periods. Buses serve the wider Dingley Village area; check the PTV Journey Planner for the nearest stop on Centre Dandenong Road or Spring Road.

When to go. It is busiest Sunday evenings and Monday mornings. For the most space, aim for a weekday morning or late afternoon. Good for dogs who want a proper run inside a secure fence.
