Harvey Court Park Fenced Dog Park

Harvey Court Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully enclosed off-leash yard inside the Lightwood Parklands at Caboolture South, in the Riverbank Estate. Double gates, open grass and enough room for a genuine run make it one of the better-kept dog parks in the City of Moreton Bay's southern pocket.

The dog setup

The off-leash area is fully fenced with a double-gated entry, so dogs cannot slip out while you get organised. Inside there is basic agility equipment, a dog drinking fountain, benches and shade from mature trees over parts of the grass, and waste bag dispensers and bins, though carrying your own bags is the reliable backup. There is no separate small-dog section, so it suits confident, social dogs more than nervous little ones. Off-leash applies inside the fence only; dogs stay on lead everywhere else in the Lightwood Parklands, and any dog showing aggression has to be leashed and removed.

Max: check both latches on the double gate before you let go of the lead. It is the one moment a keen dog gets past you in this park.

The vibe

A clean, friendly local park with a loyal regular crowd, and the wider Lightwood Parklands around it add playgrounds, barbecues, tables and flat walking paths for the humans. Weekday afternoons from four to six and weekend mornings are the busy windows; mid-week mid-morning is the quiet bet for a solo run.

Getting there and parking

The dog park sits off Harvey Court at the corner with Waterside Esplanade in Caboolture South, with free parking near the entrance. Caboolture station is the nearest transit hub, but a car is the practical way in.

Close by with the dogs

Grogan Road Park Fenced Dog Park at Morayfield is the next fenced option up the road if you want a second venue. For a coffee afterwards, Gavel and Grind welcomes dogs at its outdoor seating a short drive away, and the walking paths through the wider parklands give a leashed cooldown before the car.
