Burpengary East dog park is a fully fenced off-leash park off Denham Place in Moreton Bay, with separate enclosures for small and large dogs so a nervous cavoodle and a boisterous labrador are not sharing the same run. It sits within the North Harbour development area, where the wider parkland network adds walking trails if you want more than a ball session.

The dog setup

The two fenced zones split by dog size and energy, each with a sand base that drains well and stays usable after light rain. Waste bags are generally provided, but bring your own in case the dispenser is empty, and carry water since you should not count on a bubbler.

Off-lead time applies only inside the enclosures. Dogs arrive and leave on lead, owners stay inside with their dog, and everyone is expected to keep their animal under effective control. Moreton Bay council rules require dogs that get aggressive or out of hand to be leashed and removed promptly. Public toilets are limited around the immediate dog park precinct, so plan around that. Check the on-site signage when you arrive, as restrictions can change without much notice.

Getting there and parking

The park sits off Denham Place in Burpengary East, with street parking available in the surrounding residential streets and accessible parking at the entrance. Public transport is thin on the ground in this part of the region, so driving is the practical choice.

Close by with the dogs

Weekday mid-mornings and mid-afternoons are the quiet slots; early mornings, late afternoons and weekends draw the crowd, and the ground can turn muddy after proper rain. If you are building an outing, more fenced runs are close at hand: Burpengary Dog Park on the western side of the highway, Gardenia Dog Park at North Lakes and Grogan Road Park at Morayfield are all within a short drive. For the post-park coffee, Caffeine Trader at North Lakes is a reasonable stop on the way home.
