Burpengary Dog Park

Burpengary Dog Park on Crendon Street is a fully fenced, council-run off-leash area in the City of Moreton Bay, with separate zones for big and small dogs so nervous or older dogs are not overwhelmed by boisterous ones.

The rules. Dogs must be under effective voice control at all times, even inside the fenced area. Pick up after your dog immediately, bins are provided. Leash your dog again once you leave the fenced perimeter, this is a standard off-leash exercise area, not open parkland.

What's there. Secure double-gated fencing, separate large-dog and small-dog zones, water fountains, picnic tables and benches, and established trees for shade.

Getting there. The park sits on Crendon Street, easy to reach via the Bruce Highway or Old Gympie Road, with street parking along Crendon Street. Burpengary train station and local Moreton Bay bus routes are within a short walk.

Nearby with the dogs. Penny's Cafe at Burpengary Community Club is dog-friendly with an outdoor alfresco area, water bowls and treats on offer. Cafe 63 in Burpengary is also listed as dog-friendly nearby.

Weekday late afternoons, roughly 4:30 to 6pm, are the busiest window as owners drop in after work. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are calmer if your dog needs a quieter introduction.
