What visitors mention
GO Edwards Park Fenced Dog Park sits just off Great Eastern Highway in Burswood, inside the wider Burswood Park precinct. Two separate fully fenced enclosures mean nervous or smaller dogs can run off-leash without contending with the boisterous crowd, and both sit under shade trees on open grass.
The rules. Off-leash is only permitted inside the two gated enclosures. Everywhere else in Burswood Park, dogs must stay on a leash. Under the Dog Act 1976, owners must keep their dog under effective control at all times, and picking up after your dog is mandatory (bins are supplied). The fencing is solid but not guaranteed against small dogs digging underneath, so keep an eye on diggers.
What's there. Shaded seating sits inside both enclosures, and the broader park adds a children's playground, public toilets and BBQ facilities. There is little to no reliable water tap right at the dog area, so bring your own bowl and water, especially over summer.
Getting there. Free parking is available nearby, with additional car parking off Resort Drive. Burswood Train Station on the Armadale line is an easy walk away, and paved paths run through the rest of the park if you want to extend the visit with an on-leash loop.

Nearby with the dogs. The Camfield is a short trip away in Burswood proper if you want an outdoor beer garden with your dog after the park. Cafes with outdoor seating are scattered along Albany Highway toward Victoria Park, though confirm each one's pet policy before you sit down.
Weekday mornings before 8:30am and mid-afternoon on weekdays are the quietest windows. Expect it busy weekday late afternoons and most of the weekend. In summer, mosquitoes gather near the lake and shaded corners, so pack repellent if you're staying a while.
